Installer / Tower Technician

Job Summary

• Position: Installer / Tower Technician
• Location: Field-based, servicing Brockville and surrounding areas
• Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience
• Benefits: Extended health care, dental care, and paid time off (Note: No retirement matching)

Key Responsibilities

• Tower Climbing: Scale regional fixed wireless telecommunication towers safely.
• Equipment Installation: Mount, align, and test fixed wireless hardware and antennas.
• Cable Routing: Run, secure, and terminate outdoor-rated coaxial, Ethernet, and ground cables.
• Customer Installs: Complete residential and commercial internet setups at subscriber premises.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve signal loss, network issues, or equipment failures.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Ontario Ministry of Labour (MOL) regulations and safety policies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of hardware inventory and completed work orders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Training: Valid Ontario Working at Heights certification required.
• Certifications: Standard First Aid with CPR is required; Tower Rigging/Fall Protection assets preferred.
• Physical Fitness: Fully comfortable working at heights and climbing structures.
• Strength: Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Technical Skills: Experience with hand/power tools, RF equipment, and basic networking.
• License: Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
• Availability: Willingness to work outdoors in various Eastern Ontario weather conditions.
