The Copyright Modernization Act

In compliance with the Canadian Copyright Modernization Act Notice and Notice Regime, all Canadian Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are required to attempt to notify their customers of any allegations of copyright infringement received from copyright holders, effective January 2, 2015.
How to Submit a Copyright Infringement Notice
If you are a copyright holder or designated representative, follow the steps below to submit a copyright infringement notice to Truespeed:
Step 1: Send an email to abuse@truespeed.ca with the keyword "copyright" in the subject line. Include your name, direct contact information, and your interest or affiliation with the infringed work.
Step 2: The copyright infringement details must be submitted in the following required format:
Protocol: [Site or source used for the infringement]
Offence Date and Time: [Date and time infringement occurred]
Recent Infringement Timestamp: [Last modified date and time]
Infringed Work: [Title of the work]
Infringing File Name: [Electronic file name]
Infringing File Size: [File size]
Infringer's IP Address: [IP address identified]
Infringer's Port: [Port ID number]
Infringer's User Name: [If available]
URL: [If available]
ACNS XML Format
Submissions should also include an ACNS XML block in the following format. For more information on this format, visit the Automated Copyright Notice System (ACNS) website at acns.net.

Compliance Requirements
Truespeed can only effectively manage copyright infringement notices submitted under the Notice and Notice Regime that adhere to the format outlined above. Submissions that do not comply with this standard will not be accepted.
